Saturday Morning on the Arno, Florence

I painted this riverscape one Saturday morning on location by the Arno River in Florence. I wanted to capture the mood of the city and river, particularly the feeling of light typical of the area. I liked how the warm yellows and oranges of the buildings contrasted with the cool blues and greens of the water, trees and sky. The small figure in a rowing boat is a very typical sight in the area, completing the scene. 

Unframed size - 20 cm (H) x 30 cm (W) x 1 cm (D)

Additional information: this original artwork was painted on Cotton Canvas Board, using high-quality Michael Harding oil paints, and finished with Gamvar gloss varnish. It has been signed on the front, and on the back is the title, date and a list of materials.

Shipping: Free within the UK, £30 for the rest of the world. Paintings are shipped via express courier (UPS/Fedex or similar), securely packaged, and fully insured in case of any eventualities.
