Hawthorn by the River

An original en plein air painting of a large Hawthorn tree with its blooming white branches elegantly draping themselves upon a meadow and a river bend. 

While painting, I think I experienced almost every weather condition imaginable, from sun, rain, wind, and hailstones. In the end, I had to make a hasty retreat after I heard a loud clap of thunder overhead! For the most part, though, it was a beautiful spring day. I was pleased to catch the tail end of the Hawthorn blossom, with tons of buttercups and cow parsley also in full bloom, all of which are evocative of the Cotswolds at this time of year.

Unframed size - 24 cm (H) x 30cm (W) x 1cm (D) / (approx 9.5 x 12 inches).

Additional information: This original artwork was painted on Board using high-quality Michael Harding oil paints and finished with Gamvar gloss varnish. It has been signed on the front, and on the back are the title, date and a list of materials.

Shipping: Free within the UK, £30 for the rest of the world. Paintings are shipped via express courier (UPS/FedEx or similar), securely packaged, and fully insured in case of any eventualities.
