Soft Afternoon Light, Valley of the Rocks

An original en plein air oil painting of the Valley of the Rocks, Devon. I absolutely loved this slightly overcast scene, with a beautiful golden light across the sea in the distance, contrasting with the dark cliffs in the foreground. This painting is a fair bit larger than the size I typically work in en plein air; I found it quite freeing to work in this size, as I was able to use larger brushes with broader strokes to quickly capture the mood of this particular moment whilst still maintaining a certain level of detail.

Unframed size - 45 (H) x 60cm (W) x 5cm (D) / (approx 18 x 24 x 2 inches).

Additional information: This original artwork was painted on Stretched Linen Canvas using high-quality Michael Harding oil paints and finished with Gamvar gloss varnish. It has been signed on the front, and on the back are the title, date and a list of materials.

Shipping: Free within the UK, £30 for the rest of the world. Paintings are shipped via express courier (UPS/FedEx or similar), securely packaged, and fully insured in case of any eventualities.
