Evening Tranquility, River Windrush

I painted this landscape on location in the Windrush Valley in Oxfordshire, England. This painting was about conveying the peaceful nature of the River and surrounding farmland during the late evening. I particularly liked the colour harmony between the cool blues and greens of the River and sky and the warm oranges of the houses in the evening light, which I feel act as a nice focal point for the painting.
